Although the alternative version, I actually liked this book a lot. I can understand a little why this was ditched but I actually liked the fact that this version got rid of the "Logan loves Sam" issue early in the game. Of course that would have changed the trajectory of the entire series, though.

I loved the Rex, hamster, and freezer thing, which I found hilarious. Sam was fairly stupid in this one but I guess I can't really blame her too much. This is a girl who was abandoned a lot. Much of it has to do with Analise, as always, but it was interesting to see how the other adults in her life seem to be pretty clueless too. Helen seems like the same bigoted witch and the Elite and Public girls all seem pretty much the same too. The Becky and Adam thing was unbelievable. Becky was really stupid and way too clueless during this book. Her demeanor was OTT with the bouncing and giggling and stuff. Shallow.

One star off for the normal editing issues, like missing words, etc. Otherwise this was actually better than some of the other books in the series. I really liked it.

Where to begin. I loved this version. Having read Fallen Crest Family and knowing this is the alternate version of it, I'm glad she decided to go with the other version. With that being said, I got to read and get Sam, Mason and Logan back in my head. I also liked that we got to see more vulnerable sides of Mason and Logan. I was getting kind of confused with all the Elite backstabbing etc. boy Adam was a much bigger d*ck in this book and I thought he was just an ass in the others. I was just happy to be able to read another Tijan book even if it was just an alternate version of one already written. It was like getting in Tijan's head and seeing how things could have worked out, had different scenarios played a different way. If you intend to read this, make sure you read the original series first.
this was a very interesting book. in case you don't know, this never really happened it's just a draft of another book she wrote. a really amazing draft. there are a lot of things different on this book then the regular one......
she has a good relationship with Garrett
she is in the elite group
the tomboy princesses don't hate her
she's not a Mason's school
Becky has a boyfriend.
there was so much drama going on in this book. there were fights, drinking, breaking up, choosing sides, and making unexpected friends. I think Tijan did an amazing job with this book. there were some things that I wished had happened and some things I'm glad they didn't happen. I recommend this book for people who enjoy the Fallen Crest series and want to see a different side of the books.
I am beginning to think that this author put a spell on her books. Fallen Crest series is by far one of my favorite series ever (trust me I read a lot) and this series just sticks out for me. With that being said, I am glad this one never (really) came to light as book 2. I felt Sam was fake in this book in being friend with people she did not like, but on the other hand the Logan issue was handled, but then her and Mase separated. All in all it was an awesome read because it was all about the "what ifs" and I love that. I do wish however that certain issues that were dealt with in this book were handled in the actual second book, but instead we have to wait and see when it was handled from the beginning. All I have to say is that I despise and hate love triangles with a passion and I HOPE and PRAY that does not happen in book 4.
I love both versions!! This was great, but I understand why Tijan went the other direction. Things in this story move much more quickly and it seemed to be more of an ending than a what will happen next. Even so it was a great read and there were a ton of elements in it that would have been great in the final version.
I am glad I read this book even though I like the other book better to this version way better. So yes I am glad she scrapped this book but also happy she let us read it to . It was nice reading more of the Mason ,Logan and Sam of course. Honestly I will read every book this author writes she is amazing . So if you love the fallen crest books then you should read this one anyway it just gives you more of the fearsome threesome.
Reading this version, I disliked the way majority of the characters acted. Sam seemed a little weaker, Becky was a lovesick puppy longing for attention and popularity (not in a good way or the way it is in the actual versions), Malinda was kind still but eh, and I didn't like Mark as much as I did in the original. Adam I just downright didn't like. So on and so forth,

BUT the author scrapped this for a reason. I love the fact that Tijan was just awesome enough to put this out for us because I'm always looking for new scenes that I haven't read on her FB page and I liked reading more on Sam, Mason, and Logan. Being that I didn't really like the way some of the characters acted, it's just easier to read because it doesn't deter from the scenes that really happened in books 2 and 3 in the Fallen Crest series. In a way, reading this made me love the characters even more because it shows how Tijan could've made the characters one way but ended up making them better like Sam being tougher and stuff.

There were some scenes I liked. Like the scene with Sam and Helen at the basketball game. And I liked some scenes with Sam and Garrett. And I sort of liked the scene towards the ending with Sam and Logan, although I hope it doesn't really happen like that in the actual story because I want Sam to be with both Kades / Though I don't know if that will happen I do think she deserves both after the s***ty way everyone effing treats her (minus Heather) I also liked that there wasn't a lot of Analise lol. bc that B is crazy.

Anyways, now I can't wait for fallen fourth down.
This version was so different than the one that was published. I enjoyed how much Logan, San and Mason talked and expressed themselves. It was an awesome comparison. I am happy that the other version won out because I could. Or have handled all do the things that happened in this book alone. Tijan, I am a new fan and I will be a fan for a very long time. Thanks for giving me Mason, Sam and Logan!
